Are you ready to transform your mental health in a supportive and inspiring group setting? At Radiant Mind Therapy, Inc., our therapeutic book study sessions offer a unique opportunity to combine the benefits of Bibliotherapy self-help book reading under the guidance of a licensed therapist and utilizing provacative discussion strategies. Led by Kim Sullivan, LMFT, these sessions bring together individuals who want to explore personal growth, emotional healing, and relationship transformation.

What Is a Therapeutic Book Study?

A therapeutic book study is more than just a reading group. It’s a structured, therapist-led journey through some of the most impactful self-help and mental wellness books available. Utilizing interactive discussions, each session helps participants apply new insights directly to their lives.

At Radiant Mind Therapy, our book study sessions focus on books that deliver transformative lessons in emotional regulation, anxiety relief, relationship enhancement, and healthy habit formation. Each session is carefully guided to ensure participants feel supported, engaged, and empowered to make real changes.

Why Join a Therapeutic Book Study?

Participating in a therapeutic book study provides several unique advantages over reading alone:

Therapeutic education:
Gain deeper insights as complex concepts are explained and discussed in a supportive, professional environment.

Group therapy benefits: Experience the power of community and shared growth, knowing you are not alone on your journey.

Accountability and structure: The group setting encourages regular reading, reflection, and intentional steps toward personal growth.

CBT group work: Learn and practice cognitive-behavioral techniques in real time, making it easier to apply these tools to everyday challenges.

Relationship counseling focus: Discussions often include strategies for building healthier relationships with yourself and others.

TEAM CBT integration: Sessions are designed to reinforce the TEAM CBT principles of Testing, Empathy, Agenda Setting, and Methods.

Books We Study

Our primary text, “Feeling Great” by Dr. David Burns, offers actionable strategies for emotional healing, overcoming resistance to change, and developing lifelong wellness skills. Future book studies may include other respected works in CBT, DBT, and relationship therapy—allowing participants to continue growing and learning alongside a supportive group.
